Dorota Masłowska (Poland)


  

Polish writer and playwright. She was 19 when her first best-seller novel, Snow white and Russian Red was published. Highly controversial, translated to over 20 languages, it won her critics acclaim and Paszport Polityki prize. Second novel brought her Nike, the most important Polish literary prize. Her first drama (A couple of poor, Polish speaking Romanians, 2006) was staged i.a. in Australia, USA, Great Britain, Germany and Sachalin, the second one (No matter how hard we try, 2008) brought her Ministry of Culture Prize. Her last novel published in 2018 is already being translated to German, French and Russian.
