Malgorzata Budzynska Dora Hamisson


  Malgorzata Budzynska is a writer, translator and visual artist. She graduated from Warsaw University; faculty of Spanish Language and Latin American Literature. She made her postgraduate studies in the Academy of Arts in Lodz.

  Her debut in the literary world press she made with "The Pier" short story in 1997. Since then she has had over 20 novels published. Most of her novels are for young audiences. She has published the "Ala Makata"series and another series of 7 books "Secret Diary of Every Teenage Girl". She used to work as a translator ("Chronicle of the 20th Century"(years 1956-1982); "The Book of One Thousand and One Nights". Her selected short stories and poems have been published in anthologies in Spain, like "The best love stories" and "The Best Love Poems".

  She has won the 3rd prize in a Short Story Competition held by Wiadomosci Kulturalne, The best polish novel for teenagers held by Proszynski I spolka, and the Finalist of City of Wroclaw competition - Theatre Play for young audiences.
